The Solagri Cooperative
The Solagri Cooperative brings together about 300 members who share a passion for sustainable agriculture, based on the re-evaluation of the traditional cultivation techniques of Sorrentine gardens. The plants grow under the "pagliarelle", straw mats resting on wooden support poles that cover the foliage of the trees which, in this way, are protected from the cold and wind and delay the ripening of the fruit.
Biological balance of plants
Cultivation takes place strictly avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, ensuring the biological balance of the plants.
Protection of the territory and tourism.
Solagri members, cultivating the lands of their companies are real "guardians of the landscape". In fact, the protection of the territory was one of the objectives that led to the birth of the Cooperative.
This care and this dedication of Solagri to respect and protect the territory also have an undeniable impact on the tourism sector. In fact, the landscape of the Sorrento Peninsula and Capri is a great attraction for tourists from all over the world.
